2am
Why am I awake
To see you again?

Dying
Like a carp on the shore
Gasping for breath

Mercy
Just knock me on the head
Put me out of my misery

Anxiety
Covers me-smothers me
Can’t break free

Words
Jumble in my head
Noisy cacophony

Dark
Thick and endless
Will morning ever come?

Do I want it to?
